In the second part of our deep dive into the chilling story of Adirondack serial killer Robert Garrow, Jess and I may have started the episode a little… looser than usual. We kicked things off by popping open a bottle of Gram Norton’s He Devil—and let’s just say the wine started flowing well before we hit record.

This episode is where the story really takes a turn. We shift our focus to Robert Garrow’s life after his arrest and the courtroom chaos that followed. It’s a wild ride through the legal battle that sparked intense public debate, especially surrounding Garrow’s lawyers and their controversial decisions. We explore the ethical dilemmas his defense team faced, including secrets that tested the very boundaries of attorney-client privilege.

While the subject matter remains as dark and twisted as ever, the wine definitely brought out some laughs and unscripted moments between Jess and me. The combination of a haunting case and a good pour made for an episode that’s a little less buttoned-up and a lot more like you’re hanging out with us, talking true crime over a glass (or two).
